Will Putin invade Ukraine or is he rattling the sabers to test the waters to see how much he can get away with? I do not think President Putin will invade Ukraine at this time. There is too much to lose. He has gone to considerable expense and trouble to move a significant number of troops into position for an invasion, but if he does invade, there will be a large number of lives and money lost and not much gain for him and his country. The rest of the world is mostly united against him. The Russian economy is not in good shape now and with the probable crippling sanctions against Putin, his people and his oligarchs, the outcome would be much more harmful to them then beneficial. President Putin, please control your insatiable ambition and think of your country’s well being and the well being of the rest of the world.
